Inspired by George Nelson’s Platform Bench, Echo Bench is a twist on the classic modern design. The Echo Bench is formed by two distinct pieces which, when combined, create an undulating surface with multiple seat heights. One bench undulates between 11″ and 15″, with the low seat intended for kids to enjoy. The second bench undulates between 15″ and 18″, with the high seat for tall users, or to be used as a side table. The benches can also serve as decorative display surfaces for homes or offices.

The two pieces that combine to create the Echo Bench are actually mirrors of one another. The form is derived by the nesting of the vertical slats, which are fabricated by a CNC router, creating no material waste. The slats are then held together with four cross members using mortis and tennon connections.

Material: Carbonized bamboo plywood and steel (legs)
